抗菌肽是一类能够抵抗外界病原体感染的阳离子小分子多肽，它们具有广谱抗菌、抗病毒、抗肿瘤等功能。并且抗菌肽不易产生耐药性，对高等动物正常细胞无害。然而抗菌肽的抗菌活性与传统抗生素相比普遍偏低，抗菌肽表达时可能会对宿主造成杀伤等。
