池杉(Taxodium ascendens,Brongn.)原系北美东南沿海沼泽地带的速生树种,干形通直,木材质地较为轻软,可供建筑、造船及家具等用材。其最大特点是耐水湿,适应性强,在我国长江中下游及水网地区,是很有发展前途的。 池杉自引种我国以来,生长良好,深受群众喜爱。我场一九六五年播种的实生苗,虽经两次移栽,九年生树高可达9米,胸径12厘米,地径24厘米,为了推广这一优良速生树种,解决种苗不足的困难,我们坚持自力更生的方针,学习毛主席的哲学思想,实行领导干部、工人、技术人员三结合,从一九七一年开始,进行池杉扦插繁殖苗木试验。几年来我们初步取得了一些经验:
Taxodium ascendens (Brongn.) Originally a fast-growing species of southeastern North American coastal wetlands, dry and straight, the wood texture is more light and soft, for construction, shipbuilding and furniture materials.
