两千多年来,中日文化交流源远流长,初期是日本大量吸收中国的汉字,同时又连续不断地大量借用汉语词汇,并遂步使其在日本语言中固定下来,成为日语中不可缺少的组成部分。到了近、现代,日本社会发展迅速,中国又反过来吸收了数目可观的日语词汇。因此,中日语言相互渗透,相互交融,你中有我,我中有你,遂有同文同种的说法。在词类兼类转化方面亦有许多共同之处。
