民族整合是现代国家塑造国家认同的重要手段,新加坡政府在这方面取得了巨大的成功,文章认为这很大程度上要归功于其在组屋社会上的制度设计,组屋制度对于打破原有各民族之间隔离聚居的封闭状态,促进族际沟通了解,整合民族关系起到了良好的作用,相较于国际范围内多民族国家内部民族冲突频发,对新加坡在民族整合方面所作出的努力和取得的经验进行探讨与分析是有必要和价值的。
