印度作为一个发展中国家,为了加快本国经济发展,近几年在吸引外资、引进国外先进技术等方面取得了显著成绩。截止1988年3月底,印度已有约400多家外国公司和企业通过建立分公司(或分支机构)的方式从事各种商务活动。其中英国126家,美国、日本、法国和西德分别为83家,37家、14家和11家,其它国家和地区129家。这还不包括许多外国公司和企业通过与印度合作方式建立的合资企业或合作企业。
As a developing country, India has made remarkable achievements in attracting foreign investment and introducing advanced foreign technologies in recent years in order to speed up its own economic development. By the end of March 1988, more than 400 foreign companies and enterprises in India had engaged in various business activities through the establishment of branches (or branches). Among them, there are 126 in Britain, 83 in the United States, Japan, France and West Germany, 37, 14 and 11, and 129 in other countries and regions. This does not include the joint ventures or cooperatives established by many foreign companies and enterprises through cooperation with India.
