The Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Authority (APVMA) recently approved the approval of AgNova’s insecticide, Starkle 200 SG (active ingredient: dinotefuran), for the control of cotton beetle and bugs. APVMA also recommends approving dinotefuran as a new active ingredient for endosulfanated terminal insecticide products as well as controlling various sucking mouthpart pests in crops and external parasites in pet dogs. The public comment period for the above proposal is from August 25 to September 23, 2015. Dinot efuran is a nicotine insecticide developed by Mitsui of Japan. It has a different chemical structure than the existing nicotine insecticides, and also has smoke in terms of performance
