魏了翁字华甫,号鹤山,南宋邛州蒲江县盐泉乡(今四川省蒲江县鹤山镇)人,是南宋后期著名的理学家和进步的思想家、政治家。他一生的主要贡献,是经过他的努力倡导,使理学在遭受“伪学之禁”以后,取得了正统地位,成为在封建社会中居于统治地位的学术思想。魏了翁作为进步的思想家,关心民众的疾苦,批评时政,提出了社会改良的方案,是一位热情实践儒家政治理想的思想家和社舍改良主义者,他的重民思想对后世影响深远。
Wei Weng word Hua Fu, No. Heshan, South Song Danzhou Pujiang County Salt Springs (now Pujiang County, Sichuan Province Heshan town) people, is the late Southern Song dynasty famous physicist and progressive thinkers, politicians. The main contribution of his life is advocated by his efforts to make Neo-Confucianism gain orthodox status after being subjected to the ban on Pseudo-learning and become the academic thought that dominates in feudal society. As a progressive thinker, Wei Weng cared about the sufferings of the people, criticized the current affairs and put forward the plan of social improvement. He was a thinker and social reformist passionately practicing Confucian political ideals. His thinking on popular custom had a far-reaching impact on future generations.
