本实验用分子量为6000的聚乙二醇(PEG)配制不同渗透势的水溶液,模拟土壤干旱条件,观察大豆和玉米不同品种间种子的萌发率.试验表明,不论大豆还是玉米种子的发芽率都在一定渗透势围范内随外界渗透势的下降而减低.但12个大豆品种中在渗透势为-6.9巴时,“丰收10号”发芽率仍较高,11个玉米品种中在渗透势为-10.6巴时,“克单3号”等发芽率仍很高.由此可见,不同种间种子萌发时的水分亏缺临界值不同,即使同一种的不同品种间种子萌发时期的抗旱力亦不同.
