GIS作为一种新兴科学技术由国外引入到中国应用于多个学科领域。这项技术很快在城市规划研究和管理领域得到广泛普及。但是,GIS技术在城市规划设计应用中也存在着一些问题。本文通过对GIS技术在城市规划领域应用的理性分析,包括GIS技术在城市规划领域中的用途、该技术自身发展中遇到的瓶颈和自身的缺陷等主要方面进行探究,并详细分析了GIS在城市规划设计应用中的利弊,然后指出城市规划设计单位应用Gl S技术的发展方向,推进并改善GIS在城市规划领域应用前景。
