[苏](依斯特林)撰写的《文字的产生和发展》是一本研究普通文字学理论的重要著作。这本书的初版本是1961年问世的,当时的书名叫《文字的发展》。杜松寿先生曾把它译成中文,由文字改革出版社在1966年3月作为“内部读物”印行。1965年苏联出版该书的第二版,作者改写了全书,并更名为《文字的产生和发展》,篇幅也增加了三分之一。把这本著作介绍给我国的读者,对于我国语言文字的理论建设无疑是有益的。现征得译者同意,从他们的译稿中选登部分章节,以飨读者。
The Creation and Development of Written Works by Su Litlin is an important work on ordinary philology. The first version of this book came out in 1961, when the book was titled “The Development of Writing.” Mr. Jun Song, who translated it into Chinese, was printed by the Text Reform Press in March 1966 as an “internal reading.” In the second edition of the book, published by the Soviet Union in 1965, the author rewrote the book and renamed it “Generation and Development of Texts,” adding one-third more space. Introducing this book to readers in our country is undoubtedly beneficial to the theoretical construction of our language and writings. It is hereby claimed that the translators agree to select some sections from their translations to read the readers.
