原发性骨质疏松症(OP)是一种老年人常见的全身性骨病。以骨量降低和正常骨组织微结构的破坏为特征,导致骨的脆性增加,容易发生病理性骨折。临床上最常见的症状是腰背痛。目前对骨质疏松症的常用治疗手段是药物,药物治疗虽然方便,但用药周期长、副作用较多以及价格昂贵,限制了其在临床上的普遍使用。低频脉冲电磁场(pulsed electromagnetic fields,PEMFs)是种新型的非药物治疗骨质疏松症的方法,我们应用PEMFs对原发性骨质疏松症患者进行治疗,初步观察其对原发性OP的疗效。
Primary osteoporosis (OP) is a common systemic osteopenia in the elderly. It is characterized by the reduction of bone mass and the destruction of the normal bone tissue microstructure, resulting in increased bone fragility and pathological fractures. The most common clinical symptoms are low back pain. At present, the commonly used treatment for osteoporosis is medicine. Although convenient for drug treatment, long period of drug use, more side effects and high price limit its universal use in clinic. Pulsed EMFs (PEMFs) are a new non-drug treatment of osteoporosis. We used PEMFs to treat patients with primary osteoporosis and initially observed its efficacy on primary OP.
