南京市话剧团终于有了一个属于自己的小剧场,就座落在繁华的闹市区——新街口。原先这是一个书场,可以容纳三百多个观众,现在经过改装,成了一个搞实验话剧的理想场所。它的观众席是不固定的,舞台也是不固定的,可以根据需要随意变换舞台和观众席的位置。门厅右侧,是一个面积不大的咖啡厅,可以供观众休息,也可以用来开展各种各样的小型活动,如座谈讨论、信息交流等等,象个小小的‘文艺沙龙’。前不久,在南京出席中国话剧艺术研究会首届年会的代表们,在这个小剧场看了南京市话剧团的演出,并且听他们介绍了开展小剧场实验的种种构想。
