上梅洲种原生长在江西省婺源县车田公社上梅洲。它具有芽叶肥壮、叶片大、叶肉厚、茸毛特多、花而不实的特点。1958年婺绿茶区育成的两个绿茶新品种——“茗眉”、“奇峰”,都是以上梅洲茶树作为无性系母本的。 1965年,全国茶树品种资源利用学术讨论会将上梅洲种推荐为全国21个茶树优良品种之一。七十年代初,该品种作为茶树良种曾先后引入印
On the Meizhou species of the original growth in Jiangxi Province Wuyuan County Chetian commune Meixiu. It has fat bud leaves, leaves large, thick leaves, hair Trinidad and Tobago, flowers and not real features. In 1958, two new green tea varieties, “Mei Mei” and “Qifeng”, bred from Wu Green Tea Area, are all above Meizhou tea trees as clones. In 1965, the Symposium on Resources Utilization of Tea Varieties in the Whole Country recommended Shangmei Chau as one of the 21 fine varieties of tea in China.
