杭州市郊是一个有名的麻区,除了种植印度洋麻和络麻之外,有一部份地区是种大麻的(杭州称大麻为黄麻,称黄麻为络麻)。由于农民们栽培大麻的技术优良,单位面积麻皮的生产量很高,每亩麻皮的生产量达250市斤,个别的农户有收到300市斤的,即在浙江省其它产麻的地区如嘉兴绍兴等地,也远不及杭州为高。目前全国各地广泛地展开爱国增产运动,积极提高各种作物产量的新纪录,大麻是造纸工业的主要原料,渔业上可以供给制渔网的需要,现在把杭州麻农种大麻的经验介绍于后,同时提出杭州种植大麻尚须改进的意见,希望大家批评和指正。
