加利福尼亚标准石油公司的公关在全美享有盛名。该公司在公众心目中的形象一直很好。该公司每隔几年举行一次的评估企业形象,民意测验的结果总是令人满意。可是,1957年的一次民意测验结果却表明,对该公司抱有好感的人较两上前大为减少。这使公司的领导感到震惊。公众认为:1.公司太大太有力量;2.公司太庞大,不能向公众提供最佳服务;3.公司的石油价格太高;4.公司是垄断寡头。
Public relations at Standard Oil California is prestigious throughout the United States. The company’s image in the public mind has been good. The company evaluates the corporate image every few years and polls are always satisfactory. However, a result of a poll in 1957 shows that those who have enjoyed the company are greatly reduced from the previous two. This shocked the company’s leadership. The public thinks: 1. The company is too powerful. 2. The company is too large to provide the best service to the public. 3. The company’s oil price is too high. 4. The company is monopolized.
