In most underdeveloped countries, two complementary and dependent strategies for health services have been developed and implemented. First, to define the concept of primary health care (PHC) to establish and maintain the links between people and health institutions. Such linkages have been achieved through the recruitment, training, supply and support of rural health workers. Appropriate use of these contacts, including announcements, conversations and learning from them, has been shown to improve health care efforts including improving immunization coverage. Second, to succeed in any program, including immunization, it is essential to establish an effective and sustainable health care system that supports government and junior staff.
