犬瘟热是犬瘟热病毒引起的主要发生于犬的一种急性、接触性传染病。犬是本病最易感的动物，各种年龄、性别和品种的犬都可感染。除犬外，犬科其他动物(如狼、貉、豺等)、鼬鼠科动物和浣熊科动物同样易感。本病主要传染源是患病动物和康复带毒动物，其眼（鼻）分泌物、唾液、体液、内脏器官、尿液等含有大量病毒，可对环境造成污染。本病常年均可发生，但以寒冷季节较为多发。 Canine distemper is caused by canine distemper virus mainly occurs in dogs, an acute, contagious disease.
