庵堂寺位于安岳县林凤镇庵堂村,依山势而建,大致坐南朝北,寺内崖壁上现存造像20余龛,主要集中在北面崖壁上(图一),其东面崖壁上有两龛像(图二;图版一八;图版一九,1)。造像规模很小,但因其有大量的造像题记,可以作为四川摩崖造像断代和内容识别的标准。2002年夏,成都文物考古研究所受安岳县文物局之请在对安岳县境内造像铭文进行调查时,对这里的铭文进行了抄录并拓片。2002年冬,北京大学石窟寺考古培训班在安岳圆觉洞实习时首次调查了这里的龛像,并再次抄录了铭文。2008年11月,在中德合作圆觉洞10号窟保护与研究项目进行期间,我们对这里的造像进行了详细记录,并校对和补充了2002年抄录的造像铭文。

The statue is small in scale, but because of its large number of statues, it can be used as the standard for the dating and content identification of the cliff face in Sichuan. In the summer of 2002, Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology requested Anyue Cultural Relics Bureau to make a survey of the statues inscriptions in Anyue County, and copied and inscribed the inscription here. The winter of 2002, Peking University Cave Temple archeology training courses in Anyue circle hole practice for the first time investigated the niche here, and once again copied the inscription. In November 2008, during the Sino-German cooperation on the protection and research project of Cave No. 10 at Yuanjue Cave, we made a detailed record of the statues here and proofread and supplemented the inscriptions of the statues copied in 2002.
