Spansion发布了其第一个MirrorBit Quad解决方案系列,MirrorBit Quad技术能够在每个单元中存储四比特数据,是所有其它闪存技术的两倍。另外,这种技术的成本较低,裸片的尺寸也小于市场同类闪存解决方案。第一批MirrorBit Quad产品的容量为256Mb～2Gb。Spansion计划在今年晚些时候发布面向数字电影、MP3、游戏机和USB闪存驱动等可移除式应用的65nm产品。另外,Spansion还计划在电子书和GPS导航系统等集成式应用中采用MirrorBit Quad技术。
Spansion unveiled its first line of MirrorBit Quad solutions that enable MirrorBit Quad technology to store four bits of data per cell, double the rate of any other flash memory technology. In addition, the cost of this technology is lower, the die size is also smaller than the market similar flash solutions. The first MirrorBit Quad products have capacities from 256Mb to 2Gb. Spansion plans to release 65nm products for removable applications such as digital cinema, MP3s, game consoles and USB flash drives later this year. In addition, Spansion also plans to use MirrorBit Quad technology in integrated applications such as e-books and GPS navigation systems.
