如果你看了正在热映的《美国队长2》,那么你肯定记住了队长昔日的好基友如今的冬日战士——巴基,以及他那条能和队长玩接飞盘游戏的电子手臂。电影里,巴基的电子手臂为他提供了超级力量和超快速度,掀翻汽车抓住子弹都是小儿科,更别提发射电磁波干扰电子仪器之类的高级功能了。神经义肢和巴基的电子手臂类似,当然,目前它还达不到电影中的智能程度,但和传统义肢相比,它算是2.0进化版本了。在介绍神经义肢之前,先来看看传统义肢是怎样的。

Before introducing neuro-prostheses, let’s look at what traditional prosthetics are.
