地理教学首先应培养学生地理情感,让学生懂得学习地理能促进个人全面发展。培养学生地理实践能力和探究意识,激发学生学习地理的兴趣和爱国主义情感,树立正确的人口观、资源观、环境观和可持续发展观。教师用情感、意志等非智力因素,以多种方法和手段,培养学生正确的地理学习态度、浓厚的地理学习兴趣、良好的学习方法、强烈的求知欲望,在有张有弛、轻松愉快的氛围中,学生将不再感到学习是一种沉重的负担,理解知识、消化知识、运用知识的能力会不断提高。
