沥青为工业上重要原料之一。应用于铺路、防水建筑、浸涂水管、煤汽管、涂船壳鱼网、桥梁及铁道枕木、电器绝缘业、炼钢耐火砖、橡胶等工业,因之接触沥青的工人为数极多,随着我国经济建设的飞速发展,钢铁煤焦工业的持续跃进,沥青的产量与用途,也将日益增多。近年来,沥青中毒时有报告,因之预防沥青中毒,保护工人健康,已是非常的重要,作者于1959年春季,曾先后遇见急性沥青中毒45例,由于发现较早,处理及时,未能引起严重后果,今将该部病例作一分析报导。
