域外汉籍作为一种新资料对当前和未来我国学术研究起着重要的作用。朝鲜半岛深受中国传统文化的影响,所产生的汉文典籍数量庞大,在域外汉籍领域占有举足轻重的地位。《韩国历代文集丛书》作为韩国较近整理出版的一部大型汉文文集丛书,囊括了朝鲜半岛一千多年以来社会发展的文化成果,在朝鲜半岛人文社会科学包括历史、文学、哲学、社会学等各个领域均具有取之不竭的学术内涵和极其重大的挖掘价值。从历史学角度看,该套丛书可以说尽为史料,为朝鲜半岛史、中国与朝鲜半岛关系史乃至中国社会史等研究领域都提供了特别丰富的文献资源。
