本文针对莎士比亚诗剧《理查三世》中一段独白的方平先生的汉译提出批评。由于对原文的质朴简洁缺乏认识以及没能正确掌握本国语言 ,译者使用了不少不符合汉语习惯用法的冗词赘语 ,以致无法传达出原文优美的语言特征。作者在此提出一种新的翻译莎翁诗剧的方法 ,即以一个汉字译一个英语音节 ,并极力做到在语句结构上和深层意义上贴近原文 ,以确保莎土比亚作品的丰姿艳采。
This article criticizes the Chinese translation of a monologue Mr. Fang Ping in the Shakespeare drama Richard III. Due to the lack of understanding of the rustic simplicity of the original text and the failure to properly grasp the native language, the translator uses many redundant words that do not conform to the Chinese usage and can not convey the beautiful language features of the original text. Here, the author proposes a new method of translating Shakespeare’s plays, that is, translating an English syllable into one Chinese character and making every effort to close the original sentence structure and depth in order to ensure the richness, Mining.
