新加坡是东南亚的一个岛国,面积仅为618平方公里,人口261万。新加坡在发展中国家的经济中处于先进行列,成为亚洲四小龙之一,其经济成就举世瞩目。新加坡经济起飞的重要原因之一,就是它十分重视教育,通过教育为其经济发展提供了素质良好的人力资源,从而促进了生产力的高速发展,为新加坡现代化的实现铺平了道路。
Singapore is an island nation in Southeast Asia with an area of only 618 square kilometers and a population of 2.61 million. Singapore is one of the four little dragons in Asia that ranks among the advanced economies in developing countries and has made remarkable achievements in its economy. One of the important reasons for Singapore’s economic take-off is that it attaches great importance to education and provides quality human resources for its economic development through education, thus promoting the rapid development of productive forces and paving the way for the modernization of Singapore.
