OBJECTIVE: To study the clinical effect of low-dose estrogen in the treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections in menopause. Methods: A total of 82 patients with recurrent urinary tract infection at menopause were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with an average of 41 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with conventional antibiotics and the patients in the treatment group were treated with small doses of estrogen on the basis of conventional antibiotics. Results: The therapeutic effect of urinary tract infection in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group; the disappearance of symptoms, the time of recurrent urinalysis, and the total duration of hospitalization were significantly shorter than those in the control group; the number of adverse reactions during the treatment period was significantly less than that of the control group Group; urinary tract infection after stopping the recurrence rate was significantly lower than the control group. CONCLUSIONS: The clinical effect of low-dose estrogen in patients with recurrent urinary tract infections at menopause is evident.
