Adenoid and palatine tonsil is the main component of the upper respiratory tract, can produce and secrete Ig, immune defenses. However, there has always been controversy over the distribution of Ig cells in both, with less information on ISC in both. For this reason, we compared the difference of ISC content between the two and the relationship between ISC and age and disease in adenoids. Twenty-four adenoids and 52 tonsils were examined from 71 patients 1 to 21 years of age with tonsil hypertrophy or recurrent inflammatory episodes.
