《中文社会科学引文索引》日前由南京大学与香港科技大学联合推出,该引证系统的研制得到教育部的大力支持。科学引文索引最早由美国研制,自1961年以来,美国费城科学信息研究所(ISI)相继研制、开发了《科学引文索引》(SCI)、《社会科学引文索引》(SSCI)、《艺术与人文科学引文索引》(A&HCI),开创了以文献计量为主的多方位研究方向,有力地推动了科学研究工作的开展,并成为评价一个国家、一个地区、一个机构以至学者个人科研成果、学术水平、学术影响的权威工具。中国科学院文献情报中心于1995年研制出版了《中国科学引文索引》,后又发行了光盘版。但是,至今我国还没有对社会科学研究成果进行科学评价的机制、机构和工具。为填补这一重要空白,南京大学于1997年底决定研制、开发《中文社会科学引文索引》,成立了由邹志仁等组成的课题组。1998年5月,南京大学邀请香
