According to a comparative analysis of the percentages of biochemical society members in each age group in 1973 and 1981, more than half (57.3%) of members were under 39 in 1973 as compared with 38.9% in 1981 . The highest percentage age group in 1973 was 33-35, compared with 39-41 in 1981. West Germany Biochemical Society members have obvious aging trend.
