Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of wild cactus extract on superficial Ⅱ degree scalded mice. Methods: A rat model of superficial scald Ⅱ degree scald was established and randomly divided into cacti extract group A1, distilled water group A2 and mixed group A3 (each group was divided into low, middle and high concentration), scald (negative) group B, Drug (positive) group C. The wounds were observed and recorded once a day. Five mice were randomly selected from each group on day 5 and day 12 for pathological examination. The numbers of blood vessels, fibroblasts and fibroblasts were observed and statistically analyzed. Results: (1) The healing time of mixed extracts of high concentration group was significantly different from that of scald group (p <0.05, p <0.01). (2) There was a significant difference (p <0.05) in the number of blood vessels and the percentage of fibroblasts in total fibroblasts in different cactus extract groups at 5 days. CONCLUSION: Wild cactus extract can accelerate the healing of scald wounds, especially promote the proliferation of blood vessels and fibroblasts and accelerate the re-epithelization.
