Recently, more and more studies have shown that the long-chain non-coding RNA MALAT-1 is highly expressed in many malignant tumor tissues or cells and is closely related to tumor metastasis. Meta-analysis is a method for systematically evaluating and quantitatively analyzing multiple studies with the same purpose and independence based on current research status. In this study, we used computer to search VIP database, Wanfang database, CNKI database and Pub Med database. The search time was up to June 2016, and all relevant research materials that meet the inclusion criteria were collected. According to the strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, the data were sorted out and screened. Meta-analysis was performed on the eligible studies using Review Manger 5.3, a statistical analysis software to systematically evaluate the expression of long-chain non-coding RNA MALAT-1 and LNM ) And distant metastasis (DM) to explore whether MALAT-1 has the potential to be a molecular marker for predicting tumor metastasis. A total of 292 articles were retrieved from the preliminary screening, of which 9 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using the fixed effect model or the random effect model. The results showed that MALAT-1 overexpression was significantly associated with tumor lymph node metastasis (OR = 2.10, 95% CI: 1.29 to 3.43, p <0.05) and lower expression of the long chain noncoding RNA MALAT-1 in cancer patients There was a close relationship between distal metastasis (OR = 2.22, 95% CI: 1.29-3.82, p <0.05). This indicates that the abnormal expression of MALAT-1 is upregulated. The greater the risk of lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis in tumor patients, indicating that the long-chain non-coding RNA MALAT-1 has the potential to be a molecular marker for predicting different types of tumor metastasis.
