The study found that men over the age of 65 if more than three hours per week of strenuous exercise, such as running, cycling, swimming, then the risk of being diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer or die from the disease can be reduced by nearly 70%. According to a recent study published in the Medical Literature, researchers conducted a study of more than 47,000 men who participated in the follow-up study of health experts to analyze their association with the diagnosis and progression of prostate cancer. Following these men from 1986 until 2000, they were asked to report on average the number of times a week they engaged in violent activities such as hiking, jogging, cycling, swimming, tennis, squash and rowing or non-dramatic activities. During the 14 years of follow-up, a total of 2890 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 480 late-stage cases.
