In order to clarify the suitability of Micromonus for infecting Plutella xylostella and its control on Plutella xylostella, the effects of predation on the growth and reproduction of Plutella xylostella were studied using Myzus persicae as the reference prey in the laboratory. And the predation ability reaction was used to evaluate the predation ability of S. occidentalis against Plutella xylostella. The results showed that the eggs of Plutella xylostella was able to complete the development of the generation and to breed offspring normally. When feeding on the diamondback moth, The body length (♀: (0.87 ± 0.01) mm, ♂: (1.91 ± 0.00) mm], body length [♀: (0.87 ± 0.01) mm] mm, ♂: (0.71 ± 0.01) mm], the number of ovipositional fecundity (12.7 ± 1.1), pre-oviposition [(5.1 ± 0.6) d] and spawning period [(3.7 ± 0.4) The life span of male and female adults [♀: (10.7 ± 1.4) d, ♂: (9.1 ± 1.3) d] was significantly longer than that of the peach aphid [♀: (8.5 ± 0.5) d, ± 0.3) d]. The survival rate of nymphs [(65.0 ± 6.8)%] was less than that of the peach aphid-treated groups [(80.0 ± 8.2)%] The results showed that the average daily average of eggs of 1 ~ 5 instar nymphs of Plutella xylostella to Plutella xylostella was the highest The predation amount (N max) was 7.5, 16.3, 23.3, 29.1 and 38.7, respectively. The daily average maximum predation amount of female and male adults were 39.0 and 26.9, respectively. The average daily average of the 5th instar nymphs to the diamondback moth larvae was the largest The predation amount was 41.3, and the maximum daily predation rates of female and male adults were 40.8 and 23.9, respectively. The single-headed female and male O. niger could prey on the eggs (711.3 ± 58.1) and (535.4 ± 30.6) The young larvae (371.9 ± 52.0) and (253.9 ± 32.3) of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella were fed with the diamondback moth eggs and had good control effects on the diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella).
