Recently, some experts and scholars in China who have long been engaged in the fields of sex medicine, family planning promotion, sex education for teenagers and sociology of sex have joined forces to complete a sex social survey that has drawn world attention. The survey involving 28 districts in 15 major provinces and cities in China lasted one year and three months. More than 20,000 investigations were conducted and more than 19,900 valid questionnaires were returned. This is by far the largest social survey on sexual issues in China. The final report of a 3 million-word survey reveals to people the various conditions concerning sexual attitudes and sexual habits of contemporary Chinese.
