随着四化建设的发展和人民生活的提高,为满足人民多吃鲜菜、吃好鲜菜,增加我省蔬菜种类,我所进行了新的种类蔬莱试栽,同时研究了适合我省的栽培技术。经过六年所内试验及进行的全省区域试验,一致反映毛节瓜、苦瓜这两种瓜菜很适合我省栽培,其抗逆性强,产量高,品质好,别具风味,而且瓜秧及瓜果均美观,因此,这两种瓜果既可以作为蔬菜食用,又可以用来美化庭院作为观赏,因此,经过试种及区域试验,我们提出扩大生产示范推广,推荐各地生产应用。
