After China's accession to the WTO, many multinational corporations have seen significant changes in their investment strategies in China: most of the newly approved multinationals have chosen to invest in wholly-owned enterprises. However, the originally imported foreign capital is not satisfied with simply engaging in joint ventures with the Chinese side and is even more willing to be wholly-owned or controlled by China. According to statistics, by the end of July this year, 69% of the multinational corporations approved to invest in China adopt a wholly-owned way. Take Shanghai as an example. Among the 161 foreign-invested projects that Pudong introduced in the first two months of this year, there are 140 wholly-owned projects in other Shanghai urban areas
