为提高母芋的利用价值,利用多子芋和槟榔芋母芋作为试验材料、塑料桶作为容器、泥炭土作为基质,进行简单的芋芽栽培试验。试验结果表明,采用母芋去顶芽方式所生产的芋芽产量高于切块方式;槟榔芋芋芽的产量高于多子芋;3种类型多子芋所生产的芋芽数量、质量、单个芋芽质量由低到高的顺序为绿柄多子芋>乌绿柄多子芋>红紫柄多子芋;采收芋芽的时间可持续近2个月;一般情况下,多子芋单个母芋可生产芋芽0.35 kg,槟榔芋单个母芋可生产芋芽0.40 kg。
