美国小说家对成长小说情有独钟,反映成长主题是美国文学的一个重要特色。文章采用“顿悟”这一概念对福克纳的小说《熊》进行解读,勾勒主人公艾克由“顿悟”走向“遁世”这一心路历程,并从宗教、政治经济和心理等方面阐述主人公理想的虚幻性。最后运用文化理论阐明作品的主题是美国个人主义、理想主义等文化心理在文学作品中的反映,指出表现“具有超验价值的个性”是美国小说家的审美取向。
American novelists have a soft spot for growth novels, reflecting that the theme of growth is an important feature of American literature. The article uses the concept of “epiphany” to interpret Faulkner ’s novel “Bear” and draws the heroic path from “epiphany” to “escape” and expounds the protagonist’ s ideal from the aspects of religion, politics, economy and psychology Unreal nature.
