板房沟乡春小麦连续多年获得大面积高产,1980年以来,单产在500—1300斤的面积有9300亩,成为全县有名的高产区。为山区春小麦高产闯出了一条新路。 一、地理位置和气候条件 板房沟乡位于乌鲁木齐南郊,天山北麓的洪积——冲积扇上部。海拔1600～1860m。南边紧靠苍松山地,东临前山灌丛,西靠起伏的丘陵旱地。向北延伸着逐渐宽广的平地,地面坡降1/30～1/60米。
