在大学英语教学界,语言测试与教学的关系一直是教育工作者讨论的热点,有的学者认为测试与教学是对立的,有的认为测试促进教学。而全国大学英语测试(CET)对非英语专业英语低起点学生的英语学习会产生什么样的作用,就目前的搜索来看,尚未有这方面的研究。笔者在这类学生中进行了教学实验,以交际性语言测试理论指导语言测试,对学生进行CET-4培训。实验证明CET-4能激发英语低起点学生的学习动力,促进学生英语实用能力的提高。笔者认为在大学英语教学中要充分发挥测试的作用,测试本身并没有错,问题在于如何制作高效度的测试及如何利用测试真正提高学生的英语水平。
In college English teaching, the relationship between language testing and teaching has always been a hot topic discussed by educators. Some scholars think that testing and teaching are antithetical and some think testing promotes teaching. The National College English Test (CET) for non-English majors in English to start a low-level English students will have what effect, the current search, there is no such study. The author conducted teaching experiments among such students, and guided the language tests with communicative language test theory to train CET-4 students. Experiments show that CET-4 can stimulate the learning motivation of English low starting point students and promote students’ practical ability in English. I think in college English teaching to give full play to the role of testing, the test itself is not wrong, the question is how to make highly effective testing and how to use the test to really improve students’ English level.
