油橄榄(Olea europaea L.)是世界上著名的木本油料树种之一,具有生长能力强,分布范围广,油脂质量好,单株产量高等特点。油橄榄一九七三年引入上饶地区后,经过几年的发展,主要靠自繁,全区各县(市)都有种植,有的集中连片,有的零星分散,种植油橄榄株数达二、三十万株,生长普遍良好,有的已开花结果。为了有计划、有步骤地在上饶地区引种、推广油橄榄,有必要对其生长情况和发展区域进行认真的研究。
