2004年2月4日,国际足联公布:足球起源于中国。2004年7月15日,在北京第三届中国国际足球博览会开幕式上,国际足联主席布拉特正式宣布,足球于2300年前起源于中国山东淄博临淄。这是山东人的骄傲,更是鲁能足球俱乐部的骄傲。鲁能俱乐部从成立开始,就立志以足球为载体,秉承深厚的历史传统文化,内引外联,通过足球反映山东人的经济、文化、精神面貌等多层面的内涵。“足球是我们的事业”。在足球的故乡,鲁能泰山俱乐部以扎实有效的工作,经过几年的发展,俱乐部许多领域在全国处于领先地位,为山东足球的腾飞打下了坚实的基础。
February 4, 2004, FIFA announced: football originated in China.
