一 早籼矮脚南特品种系广东省潮阳县农民育种家洪群英、洪春利二人在1956年于南特16号田内,单株选育而来。经试种繁殖,增产显著。1959年引入福建、浙江等省试种,表现良好。1961年开始,各地种植面积逐年扩大。1964年广东、福建、浙江、上海等省、市共种植500多万亩。1965年长江流域以南各省种植面积发展到1,100多万亩,其中浙江省种植达670万亩,蕭山、余杭等县双季早稻中70%左右种了矮脚南特。

In 1965, the planting area in each province south of the Yangtze River valley developed to over 1,100 mu, of which 6.7 million mu was planted in Zhejiang Province. About 70% of the double-season early rice in Xiaoshan and Yuhang counties dwarfed Nantes.
