社会主义精神文明建设,在社会主义现代化建设中具有十分重要的地位。只有物质文明和精神文明都搞好,才是有中国特色的社会主义。一、精神文明建设的基本指导方针和根本要求(一)精神文明建设的基本指导方针精神文明建设的基本指导方针是:精神文明必须推动社会主义现代化建设,必须促进全面改革和实行对外开放,必须坚持四项基本原则。这个方针的实质是:精神文明建设必须坚定不移地坚持党的“一个中心,两个基本点”的基本路线,为党的基本路线服务,紧紧围绕党的基本路线进行。精神文明建设必须推动社会主义现代化建设。社会主义现代化建设的中心是经济建设,精神文明建设要围绕经济建设这个中心,不能离开这个中心,更不能妨碍和干扰这个中心。要坚决废止“以阶级斗争为纲”和把解决两个阶级、两条道路的斗争当作思想文化领域主要矛盾和主要
