阐述了敦煌市棉花生产中存在的突出问题是棉花枯、黄萎病蔓延快、发病重和蚜虫危害加重及干旱的影响；通过抗性育种选育出了适合当地种植的抗枯萎病新品种敦棉２号和抗旱、抗蚜虫新品系６９１０８，引种成功了耐枯、黄萎病品种中棉所１６，并从引进品种（系）中筛选出了抗旱性强、叶螨发生轻的品种陇棉１号和抗黄萎病品种辽棉１５；提出敦煌市今后开展多抗性育性的目标是早熟，优质，抗枯、黄萎病，抗旱，抗蚜虫。
The problems existing in the cotton production in Dunhuang City are described as follows: cotton withered, rapid spread of verticillium wilt, severe disease and increased harm of aphids and drought; and breeding of new resistant varieties of Fusarium wilt resistant to local planting by resistance breeding Cotton 2 and a new drought-resistant and aphid-resistant line 69108, we successfully introduced the resistant and Verticillium wilt cotton cultivar 16, and selected the varieties with high resistance to drought and spider mite, 1 and Verticillium wilt resistance varieties Verticillium wilt 15; proposed that Dunhuang City in the future to carry out multi-resistant fertility objectives are precocious, high quality, resistance to withered, Verticillium wilt, drought, anti-aphids.
