The new challenge over the world is to control the pollution of sulfur Compound in the air using new facilities and new technology to produce cleaner products(gasoline,diesel,jet fuels).Activated carbon and zeolite have excellent adsorption to desulphurize characteristics.Because using activated carbon and zeolite to desulphurize the liquid hydrocarbon fuel like gasoline can control the risks thiophene effectively and simplify the operation process,it is a promising new technology.The purpose of this work is the use of molecular sieve Y type zeolite partially exchanged,the adsorption behavior of sulfur by different adsorbents were investigated by dynamic and static adsorption desulfurization experiments on straight-run gasoline with a sulfur content of334.70mg/l and FCC gasoline with a sulfur content of169.23mg/l.The adsorbents were prepared by liquid phase ion-exchange method using an aqueous solution of Zn(NO3)2.Cu(NO3)2,CsCl,Ce(NO3)2,AgNO3,Ni(NO3)2and Na-Y like support.We will focus our work on NaY zeolite exchanged partially with zinc(Zn-Y)due to the best result than others adsorbents to achieve a deep adsorptive desulfurization,it has been demonstrated that the metal ion as well as calcination conditions have much influence on the absorption rate,for that reason the influence of loading concentration of Zn(NO3)2,calcination Temperature,calcination atmosphere adsorption temperature and space velocity were studied.  The results showed that the adsorption desulfurization of Zn-Y under the condition as follows:Zn2+loading concentration0.5mol/l,calcination temperature450℃under N2,adsorption temperature30℃and adsorption space velocity0.5h-1,shown higher capacity and performance rate on straight-run gasoline and under the condition as follows:Zn2+loading concentration0.3mol/l,calcination temperature500℃under N2,adsorption temperature30℃and adsorption space velocity0.5h-1,shown an excellent capacity and performance desulfurization rate for the removal of sulfur compounds on FCC gasoline.
