Semiconductor-based photocatalysis have attracted considerable attention due to their potentially promising avenue for solving current energy and environmental problems with the use of solar light.[1] Recently,a silver orthophosphate (Ag3PO4) semiconductor, reported by Yi and co-workers,[2] has exhibited extremely high photooxidative capabilities for O2 evolution from water as well as organic dye decomposition under visible light irradiation. However,it should be noted that there are still some inherent limitations in the present Ag3PO4 photocatalytic system. We report the BiOBr/Ag3PO4 composites have been prepared via a facile and reproducible route. In the composite,Ag3PO4 particles are deposited on the surface of plates of BiOBr.
