Molecular electronics has risen to be a promising field not only representing natural limit of device miniaturization but also forming an ideal system to study new physics and functions dominated by quantum mechanical principles and many body effects.In this talk we will discuss transport behaviors in a single molecular device incorporating a single molecule bridged gold nano junctions.Furthermore,we will show quantized conductance observed in self-breaking process of pure gold electrodes at room temperature.Correlation of structural and crystal orientation to the conductance change will be discussed using first-principle calculation.
