The authors investigated the antibody levels of two anti-schistosoma siblings in vitro, that is, antibodies bound to the surface of the sperm and eosinophil-dependent cytotoxic antibodies, and compared with the in vitro results of the cercariae challenge infection. An indicator of antibody binding is the number of cells adhering to the surface of each motile mechanistically transformed squirrel (p388D_1 cells have an IgG-Fc receptor). The experiment was divided into 9 groups: A. Each mouse was infected with 500 cercariae exposed to a dose of 20 krad, and each infection was started at the beginning of the experiment and 6 weeks later. B.
