Discuss the use of radiography to quantitatively determine the width and depth of cracks. The discussion indicates that in most cases dimensional information extracted from radiographs can lead to erroneous results. Effects of skewed geometry and fuzzy line expansion functions are modeled. The calculated results are compared with the experimental results.
